Martha McKie, Accompanist

Martha McKie is a classically-trained pianist and has been accompanying instrumentalists, vocalists, and dancers in Ohio, Michigan, Mexico City, and now, Florida.  Ms. McKie was the staff eurythmy accompanist at The Rudolf Steiner School of Ann Arbor, in Michigan for 12 years.  She has accompanied classes and examinations for the Royal Academy of Dancing syllabus for 30 years in studios in Northern Ohio, throughout Michigan, and in Mexico City.  She was the guest accompanist for the Joffrey Ballet Summer Program in Saginaw, Michigan.

Her most operatic gig so far was playing the piano reduction score of  The Magic Flute  in a course for non-major German students at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

In Florida, Ms. McKie is enjoying the great inspiration and pleasure of accompanying for "Little Women with Big Voices", "Caruso vs. Sinatra", and some of the productions of the First Coast Opera.  Ms. McKie studied piano at the University of Toledo, Ohio, at Chautauqua Institute in New York, and at the Manhattan School of Music.
