Meet the Third Servant of the Queen: Regina Torres

Regina Torres is thrilled to return to First Coast Opera for their 25th season, where she began her operatic career as The Witch in Hansel and Gretel. She last appeared with FCO as Aesop/Granny in The Trial of BB Wolf, Counsel for the Plaintiff in Trial by Jury, Metella in La Vie Parisienne, and Little Buttercup in HMS Pinafore. She has also created cabaret performances for FCO, including Cabaret Español and Opera Noir. Ms. Torres began her musical studies at the University of Florida and completed her graduate work at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. A versatile performer, she is frequently seen across Florida in roles such as Dolly Levi, Violet (9 to 5), Dinah (Trouble in Tahiti), the Witch (Into the Woods), and Helen Bechtel in the regional premiere of Fun Home. Ms. Torres also shares her passion for performance with students at her private studio and the Douglas Anderson School of the Arts.


The Magic Flute is being performed Friday, March 21, 2025, 7:30pm and Saturday, March 22, 2025, 4:00pm.

We celebrate our 25th Anniversary with a return to our very first opera, Mozart’s timeless The Magic Flute. Follow the adventures of Prince Tamino and the bird-catcher Papageno as they seek to free Princess Pamina from the nefarious Queen of the Night. Full of beautiful melodies and dazzling characters, this mysterious and magical tale will captivate audiences of all ages. ​
